The Director of Security is responsible for all aspects of security, manpower needs, schedules, supplies/equipment, administrative functions, training, evaluations, supervision, time and accounting, and overall safety. The Director of Security is directly responsible to the AlliedBarton customer and AlliedBarton management. He/she is on call twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. He/she will be required to respond to all pager calls.

Full time Equivalent: 30-38 employees

Direct Reports: Security Officers, Shift Supervisors, Floaters, Base Operators & Front Desk Information Attendants as specified by the account.

Description:

Supervise the day to day operations of the account. Build, improve and maintain relationships with both clients and employees; develop and retain staff; coordinate needed support services to effectively run the account to meet or exceed financial and operational goals and provide quality customer service.

Essential Functions:

* Uphold AlliedBarton's excellent reputation and profitability through excellent customer service

* Manage stressful and difficult customer service situations; respond promptly to customer needs, solicit feedback to improve service, meet commitments

* Achieve targeted business objectives for operations including but not limited to: revenue, client satisfaction, non-billed overtime, and internal quality assurance and performance management

* Ensure company principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, retention, selection and employee relations are adhered to regarding managed accounts.

* Ensure staff receive proper training commensurate with job responsibilities and documentation of training is completed

* Motivate and teach security officers and supervisors to properly and legibly prepare and submit appropriate reports, including building sign-in sheets, activity reports, and incident reports

* Ensure proper post orders are prepared and presented to the customer for review and approval

* Oversee and manage administrative and operational functions including payroll, scheduling, recruiting/selection, training, etc. for the account

* Coach, counsel, and develop personnel 

* Maintain confidentiality of all information and data

* Keep records, communicate appropriate feedback, and prepare accurate and timely reports as required

* Work with District Manager to ensure the AlliedBarton and State Compliance/PERC requirements are met

* All employees are properly screened and licensed

* All employees meet training standards and requirements

* All employee relations are managed appropriately
